KOREY PIMENTAL

Producing & Administration

making theatre happen, anywhere

Korey spent 2017-2021 as the Founder and Executive Artistic Director of The Glass Horse Project based out of New Bedford, MA (operational now under Reverie Theatre Group), a theatre company that was born out of his undergraduate thesis project, a production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie. Glass Horse was focused on creating free or pay-what-you can theatre that "shattered expectations" on a shoe-string budget. During his tenure with Glass Horse, Pimental spearheaded the city of New Bedford's first and only Free Shakespeare in the Park program. Shakespeare in Buttonwood, later titled Shakespeare in New Bedford - now in its 10th summer! Shakespeare in New Bedford  was the only municipally-sponsored traditional theatrical event for the first two years of production during that time. Glass Horse partnered with the New Bedford Mayoral Office, the New Bedford Free Public Library, and the New Bedford Department of Parks, Recreation, and Beaches.

While running Glass Horse, Korey oversaw production and day-to-day operations. This included traditional marketing and social media campaigns, press and vendor relationships, casting, a staff of four, budgets and finance, and administration. Korey also managed Glass Horse's grant portfolio for Shakespeare in New Bedford during the entire lifecycle of the grant.

Korey has been fortunate enough to parlay this experience into full-time employment with other arts organizations, specifically in Development. From 2023-2025, Korey served as the Development Manager at Chicago Opera Theater, with an operating budget of $2.7M. At COT, Korey managed the grants portfolio and assisted with campaigns, individual giving, and co-created the organization's new corporate sponsorship program. In 2025, Korey took on the role of Development Director at Redtwist Theatre, overseeing individual giving and building up a broad base of donors in addition to his tenure of Associate Artistic Director at Circuit Theatre.

Korey is available to consult on any aspect of your next theatre project. He loves to see work happening and is happy to assist how he's able to. He offers his services on a sliding scale and is happy to do his best to fit within your budget. So, please feel free to reach out!
