As a professional theatre artist with Cerebral Palsy, Korey’s disability consulting practice is rooted in disability justice and focused on the way intersectional, anti-ableist practices are integrated into theatrical processes.

 

His work spans artistic production, organizational policy, casting, rehearsal, and audience engagement. No matter what you may need, he feels confident he can be a helpful resource to you. 

 

He served as an Access Representative and Inclusion Consultant on the world premiere of Sonia Goldberg's choose-your-own adventure play, Think Fast, Jordan Chase at Filament Theatre. At Filament, he worked alongside artists and production staff to examine rehearsal and production practices through an anti-ableist lens, strengthening policies, and developed an accessible pre-show experience for actors and audiences alike. He has also served as Disability Consultant to The Theatre School at DePaul University and helped their actors create dignified moments with the actor playing Sorin in a world premiere adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull. He has also worked with the Atlantic Acting School at NYU Tisch School of the Arts on disability representation and dignity in casting, and facilitated conversations with early-career directors at Hangar Theatre about building disability inclusion into the creative process, to name a few of my collaborators. 

 

Across these engagements, he has helped arts organizations move toward practices that center disabled artists and audiences, challenge ableist structures, and recognize accessibility as an essential part of artistic practice through an intersectional lens.
